What We Do

The Legislative Committee meets to track, discuss, and take positions on planning-related bills, working with lobbyists to advance planning in Colorado. This committee also works with lobbyists and legislators to testify on bills and develop language for new bills.

Who should participate?

APA Colorado members with interest or expertise in public policy and legislative matters.

What are the time requirements to join?

The Legislative Committee will meet every other Friday from 12:00–1:00 PM throughout the legislative session. These meetings are open to all APA Colorado members, and participation can range from simply listening in to actively helping track bills, develop positions, and support APA’s advocacy efforts.

In between meetings, committee members work on various tasks and programs with varied time requirements. We have something for everyone!
