AICP is the American Planning Association's professional institute, providing recognized leadership nationwide in the certification of professional planners, ethics, professional development, planning education, and the standards of planning practice.

APA Colorado encourages all planners to become AICP certified. AICP members recognize more career opportunities, higher salaries, and enhanced professional credibility. Qualified members can now begin the path to AICP while earning professional experience. Learn more about the One Path to AICP.

Through our Professional Development Officer, APA Colorado can help you navigate through the AICP requirements for testing and continuing education.  We offer assistance through preparation workshops, other resources and connections to study groups. 

We are also a Certification Maintenance (CM) provider and strive to offer as many CM approved workshops, events, seminars and conferences at no or low costs to our membership.  We have partnered with other organizations to bring our members even more opportunities for CM.
