Certification Maintenance (CM)
Certification Maintenance Session Proposal Form
APA Colorado is an approved CM provider. If you wish to have your presentation, workshop, seminar, or other educational event considered for CM credits, please follow these steps:
- Fill out the Session Proposal Form and return it to us at Info@APAColorado.org
- Our Chapter Professional Development Officer will review your proposal and reach out if there are any questions.
- Once reviewed, an APA Colorado team member will notify you if your event has been approved for CM credits or not.
- If approved, APA Colorado will enter your event into the National CM Activity database.
- We will provide you with the event number for attendees to log CM credit for attending your event.
- Attendees can find your event and log their CM credits for attending here.

Qualities of a CM-Eligible Activity
Use this checklist to make sure your event or activity meets the eligibility standards:
- Content meets a specific planning-related education or training objective.
- If offering one of the four mandatory topics, content must meet the topic-specific criteria.
- Have at least one subject matter expert speaker. Further, if offering a mandatory topic, must include at least one speaker who is AICP and aim for a panel of speakers. (Note, education and training activities related to the ethics mandatory credit must include a majority of speakers who are AICP).
- Must be at least 15 minutes long or for a mandatory topic 1 hour.
- Must meet additional requirements for on-demand activity.
