Mark your calendars! The 2025 Western Slope Planning Conference, Peaks to Plains: Planning Across Colorado’s Diverse Landscapes, is set for October 23–24 in Grand Junction. This annual event is the premier gathering for planners, community leaders, and changemakers from across the state to come together, exchange ideas, and explore the latest in planning practices and trends.

Whether you're an experienced planner or new to the field, this conference is your opportunity to connect with peers, engage in thoughtful discussions, and earn up to 11 CM credits through a variety of sessions. With a full day of programming on October 23 and a half day on October 24, attendees will experience a dynamic mix of educational sessions, mobile tours, and networking opportunities—all set against the backdrop of Colorado’s stunning Western Slope.

APA Colorado welcomes proposals from all corners of the planning world, whether you’re sharing a success story, unpacking a challenge, or offering a space for planners to problem-solve together. Sessions can be anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour, with a variety of formats encouraged.

This conference is about what makes our work exciting, challenging, and impactful. So don’t hesitate! If you have a story, project, or lesson to share, we want to hear it!
