Policy and Advocacy
Stay Informed Legislative Committee Meetings
During the legislative session, the APA Colorado Legislative Committee works with our Legislative Liaison to review bills that pertain to planning. The Legislative Committee works to provide testimony, comments on bills, promote good planning policy, work with other organizations, and host our annual Planner's Day at the Capitol event. Join us to discuss legislation and support the variety of work we do.
The Legislative Committee will meet every other Friday from 12:00–1:00 PM throughout the legislative session. These meetings are open to all APA Colorado members, and participation can range from simply listening in to actively helping track bills, develop positions, and support APA’s advocacy efforts.
We hope you’ll join us as we dive into the session and shape APA Colorado’s legislative work together. Feel free to bring questions, curiosity, and your lunch.

2026 APA Colorado Bill Tracker Access APA Colorado's list of bills we are tracking here.
The bill tracker is what we use to see what bills have been introduced, where they are in the process and identify APA’s position (if taken). You can also access the bill language and fiscal notes from the tracker too. The bill tracker is updated regularly but may have a short lag in showing new bills. If you don’t see a bill on here that you think we should be monitoring or take a position on, please let us know!
Planners' Day at the Capitol
April 14, 2026
Each year, APA Colorado and the Legislative Committee host a gathering at the State Capitol. This event gives planners the opportunity to learn about legislation moving through the Colorado General Assembly, connect directly with their local legislators, and share practical, on-the-ground insights from their communities.
