Planner I / Planner II

Under the direct supervision of the Planning Manager, or other professional planning staff as assigned, the City is seeking a  Planner I or Planner II to assist in the activities associated with various aspects of the Community Development Department, such as daily customer service needs (phone and counter assistance), processing electronically submitted land use applications (including presentations to City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission and the Open Space Advisory Board), maintaining and creating maps and other planning related graphical information, informing the public of planning regulations and procedures, providing assistance and participating at community meetings and open houses, conducting research and analysis for a variety of planning activities, and assisting with special projects and code amendments.

The City offers generous flexible/hybrid employment opportunities, with an expectation of 2-3 days in the office per week, depending on job functions and reasonable organizational needs (it’s a pretty sweet gig, if you ask us!)

 

Planner I Salary Range: $63,000-$68,000 DOQ

Planner II Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000 DOQ
