The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations and Projects Coordinator to help bring downtown revitalization efforts to life. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both organizing projects and actively engaging with property owners, business owners, and the public. Whether you're coordinating DDA grant-funded improvements, supporting events, or assisting with internal operations, you’ll be right at the center of the action in downtown Cheyenne while helping turn plans into progress across the Downtown Development District. This is a fully benefitted City position and helps support the goals and vision of the statutorily created Downtown Development Authority Board.

What You’ll Do
As the Operations and Projects Coordinator, you'll work closely with the DDA Executive Director to coordinate internal operations, track initiatives, and ensure the smooth execution of programs and capital projects. From public events and marketing campaigns to grant tracking and vendor coordination, you’ll play a key role in supporting visible, meaningful improvements to the downtown area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating DDA programs, projects, and events in partnership with city staff, consultants, and community stakeholders

  • Creating project timelines and task lists to keep everything on schedule

  • Maintaining systems and tools such as Google Workspace and Monday.com for tracking progress and documentation

  • Supporting budgeting, financial tracking, and grant compliance

  • Preparing reports, meeting agendas, and communications

  • Helping plan and execute public meetings, workshops, and community events

Qualifications
Required:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • At least two years of relevant experience in project coordination, administration, or similar work

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, planning, real estate, or related fields

  • Experience supporting senior leadership or Boards

  • Familiarity with public-sector or nonprofit environments

This role includes occasional evening and weekend events. You’ll be based in our downtown office, with opportunities to work directly in the community.
