Planner II or Senior Planner - Long Range Planning

Thornton is looking for an enthusiastic planner to join the Long Range Planning Division in the City Development Department to help shape future growth of the city. The Long Range Planning team is small and collaborative, and the essential functions of the team are predominantly related to comprehensive and long-range planning. Some of the major projects that the team is working on in the next few years include station area master planning, updates to the Comprehensive Plan and Development Code, zoning for transit-oriented development, and analyzing and planning for potential growth into a new county.

The full pay ranges for each level of this position are:
- Planner II (Non-exempt): $38.34 - $50.61 hourly
- Senior Planner (Exempt): $91,308 - $120,526 annually
The hiring rate and level offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on the candidate's previous experience and related education.
