The City of Woodland Park is seeking an organized, detail oriented, and collaborative person to join the City’s planning department team as a Permit Technician I. This customer service position is central to helping residents, businesses, and the community navigate the development process.
In this role, you’ll provide administrative and technical support for planning and development activities, including processing development review and special event applications, coordinating information, and helping ensure applications move efficiently through the review process. You’ll work closely with applicants, property owners, staff, and other stakeholders while gaining exposure to land use planning and community development. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys customer service, problem-solving, and working with the public.

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years experience in municipal-related planning, engineering, real estate, related building construction work, customer service, or other related administrative experience.
• Certified ICC Permit Technician and/or ICC Zoning Inspector or ability to obtain within three years of employment.
• Valid Colorado Driver license.
