Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, and monitors portions of large multi-disciplinary planning projects with a high degree of technical complexity
  • Coordinates work planning, and project tasks effectively across multiple technical disciplines
  • Conducts efficient project meetings, including developing agendas and meeting notes, and documents and tracks action items
  • Plans, distributes, and coordinates work among staff from Peak, teaming partners, and clients to complete documents and deliverables on schedule
  • Oversees the day-to-day activities of junior-level staff and solicits guidance from senior-level technical staff and PMs
  • Assists with the development of scopes of work, level of effort, and budgets for projects and/or project tasks
  • Implements QA/QC procedures and completes quality reviews of reports, data, and analysis for complex projects
  • Produces technical reports, meeting materials, and public-facing documents including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents
  • Addresses client and regulatory agency comments on deliverables and, with project manager, drives the strategy in achieving comment resolution
  • Prepares, and/or manages team members to prepare, figures/graphics, mapping, data management, work plans, document templates, and other required supporting documents
  • Reviews documents, engineering plans, specifications, and contractor progress reports for compliance with project requirements
  • Participates in marketing activities for project pursuits, including meetings with teaming partners and clients, development of project approach strategies, and participation in proposals and interviews

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, urban planning, transportation planning, environmental science, or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Travel to project sites and client offices
  • A minimum of three years of project and task management experience including managing the production of deliverables
  • At least two years working as an engineering or environmental consultant
  • Experience working on civil infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated technical writing ability and experience drafting technical documents
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Adobe Acrobat

Other Useful Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering, planning, or environmental science a plus
  • PE license or AICP certification a plus
  • Transportation infrastructure project experience a plus
  • Familiarity with NEPA and other federal and state environmental regulations a plus
  • Experience with ArcGIS software a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products a plus
  • Spanish fluency a plus

The expected compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually depending upon skills, experience, education.
